A copy of a valid certification in CPR and First Aid may be applied towards program hour requirements.
Laptops or electronic devices for testing are required. In extenuating circumstances, speak with the Office Manager to inquire if accommodations are available.

Students are eligible to sit for the MBLEX exam after completion of a minimum of 500 hours for the State of South Dakota. SDSMT assists students through this registration and testing process.
Student files are kept in a secure manner. Access to student transcripts can only be given to institutions, individuals, or employers with prior written authorization from the student. Each student will be given one free copy of his/her transcript upon graduation. Additional transcripts may be obtained for a $25.00 fee. In accordance with the law, the graduate must request a transcript in writing.
After a passing Mblex score, you may apply to the state board to obtain your state license.

State Licensing fees are NOT included in tuition
To obtain a state license, you will need to secure liability insurance. (We go over companies and cost during school. STUDENT insurance is typically $0-$25 depending on which company you choose.)
Insurance coverage can range from $25 your first year out of school up to $235 per year. Your insurance fees after you graduate are required by your state and are NOT part of your tuition.

Many banks, religious organizations, and various donors, i.e., high schools, local charities, local businesses, employers, etc. may provide personal financial assistance or may offer tuition reimbursement programs to students.
